Raised on the California Central Coast, educated in Berkeley, and living in San Francisco, I'm equal parts crunchy granola, Golden State sunshine, and urban sophistication. You can find me at a cafe in North Beach, a bar in the Castro, a restaurant in the Tenderloin, or a museum in SOMA.
Traveling inspires me. I've been around the world from the backwaters of Kerala in India to the top of Mount Haleakala in Hawai'i. Art also inspires me. From the abstract shapes of Picasso to the light fields of James Turrell, I use fine art as a source of form, color, and theme in my design work. I combine folk art and craft with Dadaism in my own creative projects. My best ideas come to me when I take long showers.
